Currently, Gerdau is the leading producer of long steel in the Americas and one of the world?s largest suppliers of special steel, with an installed capacity of more than 25 million metric tons of steel. It began operating in new market in Brazil with its entry into the production of flat steel, which expanded it product mix and made its operations even more competitive.
